Q:   After install the Nimble ( Analog Devices ) Combo Express Modio under Windows98 SE, a continues nosie was heard when playing wave file. There is no conflict found , IRQ is 5 and the address is 220 for the sound device .

A:  IRQ 5 has to be assigned to legacy ISA .
Under the CMOS , PnP/ PCI Configuration setup, change the " resources controlled by " to MANUAL, then IRQ - 5 assigned to Legacy ISA. Reboot the system.
